Well, I did it- I replaced the horn. But instead of buying a new one, I went to my auto mechanic who meticulously maintains my six cars (I have 5 drivers in my family) and he pulled a horn out of a BMW 2002. He spray painted it black and mounted it for me. The sound is AWESOME! I used it a couple of times on the way home and really got people's attention.
Thanks for all the help you people gave me on this site. Now I'm going to get another horn for my Honda Rebel 450. Mmmm, maybe I'll get a Mercedes horn for that one — it's more sedate and refined than the Savage, but not nearly as much FUN!
